3 Cups Chicken (三杯雞)

Picture 1 of 3

3 cups Chicken, this dish always gives me 3 kinds of feeling, the joyful of smell, sight & taste. Loving the number of 3, when translated into Cantonese it actually means a good sign of life ”生” so I like this dish (ya… superstitious).  This dish is a heritage of Taiwan, it is very popular dish almost every family know how to cook it. Especially, the “3 cups” actually refers to the sauce, and it can be cooked with any kinds of meats, even with seafood.

Picture 1 of 4

I always love to eat fish because fish is delicious and great with benefits to our health. My mum always cook fish for us at home since seafood is cheap back in my hometown. Black Pepper Pork Chop (黑椒豬排)

Picture 1 of 4

We always like to go to the Hong Kong Style Western Restaurant for lunch/ dinner or even supper, not really because of the western food, but the real Hong Kong style food.  However one HK style western dish I always like is the Two steaks combo (鴛鴦排)  choices of Chicken, Pork or Fish with selection of House sauce, Black pepper or mushroom. Black pepper would be my favorite, you can’t  go wrong with the black pepper sauce. But sometimes their chicken or pork chop is really fatty. So I’m thinking of making my own.
