Tuna Crackers
Posted by Sam.H
Tuna cracker is one of the most popular appetizers/snacks for parties or events. It is always a good starter while we are hanging around waiting for the opening. Serving with appetite wine is a good combination too. I love to serve tuna crackers because they are easy and fun to be made – and yet, delicious. Also, the tuna cracker itself is like an art of a chef’s presentation.
Preparing the tuna crackers is quite simple. You will only need very common elements to transform your crackers into a beautiful masterpiece. Besides tuna, you can serve the crackers with many colorful veggies, berries, fruits and cheeses on top as well. Thus, I have made it as my tea-time snack.
Ingredients:
1 pack Multigrain crackers
1 can 3-ounce Chunk light tuna (oil based)
½ pcs Scallion (sliced)
½ pcs Red onion (chopped)
1 tbsp Reduced-fat cream cheese
1 pcs Tomato (sliced into small triangle shape)
1 teaspoon Ground black pepper (grinder)
3 pcs American cheese or cheddar cheese (cut into bit-size)Serve size: 2~3 people
Preparation:
- Mix tuna with scallion, red onions, cream cheese and ground black pepper.
- Top crackers with well-mixed tuna, tomato & cheese of your choice.
This is always a big hit in any gathering and the preparation is so easy.
