Stir Fry Asparagus with Scallops

Picture 1 of 3

Asparagus is very low in calorie and sodium as well as zero cholesterol. It can be prepared in a couple of simple ways, you can either blanch them in boiling water or simply pan grill them. You don’t want to cook too long, but just nice to keep it crisp and tender. That makes it a healthy vegetable dish.

Most of the time I will use the simple  pan grilling method to prepare my asparagus with steak.  But this time I have prepared them in more of an Asian style, Stir Fry Asparagus with Scallops.

Spicy Ketchup Shrimp (番茄汁蝦)

Picture 1 of 3

Not sure how many of you love shrimps but I am certainly a devotee of shrimps. I was raised in a family where my mom used to prepare at least a dish of seafood for the dinner daily and shrimp was always my favorite. I love the ways my mom cooked it especially with ketchup.

In Malaysia, the word prawn is more general than shrimp because Malaysia is one of the Commonwealth nations follows the British usage. Butter Fried Shrimp with Spiced Salt (奶油鹽酥蝦)

Picture 1 of 4

I don’t eat a lot of shrimps not because I don’t like them; in fact, I love them but I’m just lazy to peel the shells.  So I always have my boyfriend to peel the shells for me. However I couldn’t resist the “Butter Fried Shrimp with Spiced Salt”. The shrimp is pan fried with spiced salt and coated with crispy garlic and scallions in fragrant buttery sauce. I will certainly suck up all the sauce on the shell before discarding it or even eat the whole shrimp with shell on.  Sound gross but that is how you eat some finger lickin’ good food.

Sweet and Sour Fish (糖醋魚)

Picture 1 of 4

I always love to eat fish because fish is delicious and great with benefits to our health. My mum always cook fish for us at home since seafood is cheap back in my hometown. I remembered my sister used to tell me ”eat more fish, it is good for your eyes”. Don’t know if that is true but I still have astigmia eyesight since I was young.
